CBD product recommendations
As a medical marijuana doctor, I get a lot of questions about CBD and I have previously posted about some the CBD research available. Frequently, patients who are getting their medical marijuana card also want some recommendations about brands and types of CBD, especially since the Ohio medical marijuana program has not yet opened the dispensaries for the purchase of THC containing products by Ohio medical marijuana card holders.
CBD’s recent popularity, and the fact that it is usually sold as a supplement and unregulated by the FDA, makes it difficult to decide what to purchase. If you have not seen the video we recently posted about CBD containing products, it is worth your time if you haven’t looked into the different ways that it is produced and packaged. The same video also suggests some specific brands.
I am not associated with any CBD or medical marijuana retailers or their advertisers, and any recommendations I make are based only on my research or experience with patients. I get a lot of my research through consumer labs and from medical marijuana growers that I worked with in Oregon. So, with that said, here are several products that I feel comfortable recommending to my patients.
These products all appear to be safe, well-manufactured, and accurately labeled. The last, Elixinol, is the cheapest per milligram of CBD according to consumer labs. I was not familiar with it until asked about it by a patient and although I have not tried it, it is also well rated in the tests I’ve seen.
Stillwater Medicine is continuing to see Ohio Medical Marijuana patients so that they can be registered with the state for their medical marijuana card. If you have questions or would like to make an appointment, please contact our doctors.
