We are open, the dispensaries are not
Stillwater Medicine is open and began seeing patients this past Monday. However, due to delays in the licensing of medical marijuana growers, the patient registry and dispensaries are not open and the state has not set a firm date for opening.
What does this mean for Ohio medical marijuana patients? It means that our doctors can see you and create a cannabis treatment plan but that you cannot yet legally purchase medical marijuana. For patients that we see before the patient registry and dispensaries open, we will submit your information to the registry as soon as it opens so that you can print your card as soon as it is legally possible to do so.
Your card is valid for one year from the day it is obtained, so there is no penalty to seeing a doctor early. It is also likely that there will be insufficient supplies of medical marijuana initially and it may be helpful to have your card as soon as the dispensaries are open.
